HK01 is a well-known digital media company, but we are building something different currently. Our data driven jobs are powered by Kafka + Spark + TensorFlow. We runs 50+ micro services on Kubernetes. HK01 app is one of the earliest Apps of the world which fully build on ReactNative.
This talk will cover why and how open source helps us on both technical and mindset parts, while doing our Internet transformation.

Alex Wang is CTO of HK01, also the cofounder of Dadi01, a tech startup company of new retail industry. As an internet veteran, he is good at building strong product & engineering team of the market and meaningful data driven products. Recently, he moves his focus on the company’s internet transformation.
Before joining HK01, Alex worked as the senior technical management roles in 9GAG, Yahoo! and Alibaba. He is a father of 2 lovely daughters. Researching insects is his secret hobby.
