The talk will cover how nix and devenv changes the way we think of running ephemeral development shells, including setting up vscode extensions automatically, served by opencode, from a local llama-cpp provider.
It will look at traditional flake approaches and look at how devenv changes the thinking from dev shell services manually started to devenv services supporting local inference.
Nixus is the umbrella name that the presenter uses to bring these principles to build agentic infrastructure, departing from upstream devenv simplicity.
